Tibetan Women

Tibetan woman in a traditional dress

Tibetan Woman

I met her in Dalhousie which has a small Tibetan population settled here. The colourful striped apron or ‘pangdens’ is a part of Tibetan traditional wear for married women. Most Tibetans, especially the women are still very attached to their culture and continue wearing these striped aprons that are meant to identify their home and village.

Seen in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh.
